Timothy Thomas in the parish of Holt on 21 February 1798 assaulted Margaret Phillips with a gun (value 5/-) shooting her in the right side of the body below the collar bone and giving her a mortal wound 4" broad and 3" deep whereof she languished and died on 16 June (WALES 4/65/4).  In the Hilary QS 1799 papers dated 15 January TT shown as maintained for ten weeks in the period and in the Easter QS 1799 papers a further 3 weeks.  Probably not executed after so long in gaol.
